VW JETTA TRUNK LATCH FIX USING . Q-BOND GLUE, cheap fix !

{rating}
Repairing the broken plastic lever that operates the trunk latch with q-bond.
I did this on oct 24 2012. I’ll check back later on how this repair job held out.
You can always open the trunk manually with the key anyways,. Just turn the key a little harder, it works .
You might want to disconnect the solenoid wire under the trunk lid if you want to just forget about the repair and open the trunk manually.
This was a very easy repair job to do.
Tried the lock a few times today with the remote (oct 25) and it worked great. I’ll check back in about a month to let you know if it is still holding out. I think very much it will.
OKAY IT’S APRIL 21 2013 AND THE TRUNK IS OPENING AND CLOSING LIKE NEW. REPAIR IS A LONG LASTING SUCCESS.

    I tried this same method and it only worked for a few days.

    The fix I did is still holding and I open the trunk a lot. I made sure to
    build up the joint with a lot of the powder and gave it time to cure. I
    tried to get some powder on the backside of the joint also.

    I think the powder is def key!
